With the goal of exponential growth in 2023 (and we are already off to an amazing start with about 6 new hotel signings this month), we are looking to hire a National Sales Manager.  Ideal candidate will have prior experience in sales in valet parking/self parking operations.  We have posted the role description on online job searching platforms and using our network to look for the best candidate.  The full role description is below.  Spread the word!

Role Description

 

 

Company:                   Parking Management Services, Inc.                   Date: January 2023

 

Reports To:                 VP of Administration & Marketing

 

Purpose:                      To achieve account growth, profit, and customer satisfaction by developing and implementing strategies to uncover and facilitate negotiating new business while maintaining existing business.

 

Constituents:              

  • Hotel Executive Teams

  • PMSI Corporate Team
  • Shareholders/City/Property Managers

 

Indicators of Success:

  • Account growth nationwide
  • Maintaining of existing accounts
  • Renegotiation of expiring accounts
  • Positive relations with PMSI team

 

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Networking, cold-calling, social media research, utilization of existing relationships and other sales tactics to grow valet/doorperson/bellperson operations nationwide
  • Expectation of a minimum of 10 new accounts nationwide per year with focus on existing cities in which PMSI currently operates
  • Maintain existing accounts and relaying any potential red flags/issues to VP of Administration & Marketing
  • Maintain and renegotiation of existing accounts upon due dates and/or need for modification within contract period; preferably with increased revenue to PMSI
  • Development of annual plan and prior results presentation during the Annual Shareholders Meeting 
  • Development of reports and relay of information as needed by PMSI Corporate Team and Managers/Shareholders
  • Minimum of bi-weekly meetings with city shareholders to discuss opportunities and concerns
  • Prepares proposals and contracts for new and existing clients
  • Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility, and uses teamwork when necessary
  • Performs other duties required and/or requested
  • Travel may be required; approximately 30% of time

Education/Experience:

Education/Experience equivalent to a 4-year degree in related field

Minimum 5 years experience as sales professional

 

Use results-oriented writing techniques and strategies for correspondence (e.g., memos, letters, reports, proposals, etc.) with correct grammar and punctuation.

 

Highly skilled in Microsoft Office tools, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as Google Docs.

 

Demonstrate ability to proactively prioritize needs, and effectively manage resources.

 

Able to operate a multi-line telephone and other office equipment

 

Strong organizational and filing skills

 

 

Physical Demands:

  • Sitting for extended period of time
  • Occasional long periods of standing
  • No heavy lifting expected; exertion of up to 25 pounds of force occasionally may be required
  • Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment
  • Physical demands associated with travel via airplane, vehicle, train, walking, etc.  approximately 30% of the time
